Technology

Micro Grid

A regional power grid that manages the supply and demand of small-scale energy by accommodating distributed energy sources. We supply PCS products specifically for Micro Grids, linking fuel cells, solar power, wind power, and ESS.

Gird Forming

One of the key technologies for expanding the acceptance of renewable energy is the technology to impart artificial inertia to inverter-based power generation sources, thereby achieving control performance similar to that of synchronous generators.

Digital Twin

In the power converter manufacturing industry, we have become the first in Korea to create a virtual (digital twin) of a mass-produced product (the FC inverter M400 model). We leverage the engineering data generated through this process to apply it to the mass production process (the harness work process). We also share this data in real time with our partners, who then apply it to manufacture components.

Immersion Cooling

This technology cools core components that generate high heat within the system by completely immersing them in a special liquid. We have secured the technology to apply not only air-cooling and water-cooling, but also immersion cooling.

Peak Cut 

Destin Power has installed 1.5 MW of SAVEEN GT PCS (SAVEEN GT) for ESS peak slashing at LG Chem's Ochang plant to reduce energy costs. Utilizing this product's peak slashing capability is estimated to result in annual energy savings of $330,000.

Frequency Regutation

Destin Power boasts the largest track record of any PCS manufacturer in frequency regulation (F/R). It has participated in 56MW and 36MW energy storage system (ESS) construction projects, resulting in a total of 92MW of ESS for frequency regulation. SAVEEN PCS, supplied as 4MW and 8MW containerized PCS stations, perform charging and discharging to maintain power system frequency fluctuations within the specified range.

Wind Power Grid with ESS

Destin Power successfully completed Korea's largest wind-powered ESS project, responsible for the PCS division, at the GS E&R wind farm in Yeongyang, Gyeongsangbuk-do. This project is expected to serve as a touchstone for Destin Power's future leadership in wind-powered ESS. Seven 2.4MW PCSs were installed, providing a total of 16.8MW of ESS time-shifting capacity.

Micro-grid  

Destin Power, in collaboration with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), conducted a pilot microgrid project in Ontario, Canada. The project included a 500kWh ESS (Energy Storage System) equipped with UPS functionality, which operates in the event of a power outage due to aging distribution networks. The SAVEEN PCS provides emergency power within 4ms, ensuring approximately 500 households have access to power for 4-5 hours, enabling a stable microgrid in the event of a power outage.

Smart Grid Station  

Destin Power participated in a smart grid station construction project in Dubai, UAE. By supplying Destin Power's SAVEEN EVE Hybrid 60kW and 200kW hybrid inverters to this city-level smart grid station, comprised of smart offices, smart buildings, and smart factories, we are contributing to the blueprint for a future-oriented, renewable energy-integrated, cutting-edge city. This will serve as a significant stepping stone into the global smart grid and smart city markets.
